Lazise
Between Bardolino and Peschiera lies the town of Lazise, whose name comes from
“lacenses” that means “lacustrine place”. The ancient nucleus of the town has
medieval origin; it is surrounded by the walls erected by the Scaliger Family
in the 14th century and its charming setting is dominated by the castle. With
its picturesque nooks Lazise is an enchanting place especially the square (piazza)
and the small port, still animated by fishermen’s boats. The characteristic narrow
alleys are full of shops and arcades with bars and restaurants face the small
port of Lazise.
